Ghost Hounds are a country rock band with a heavy blues influence fronted by SAVNT and backed by guitarists Tyler Chiarelli and Thomas Tull, fiddler Kristin Weber, bassist Bennett Miller, and drummer Sydney Driver.
The band has released their official music video for their latest song “Long Ride Home feat. Patty Griffin” — a stunning take on Griffin’s 2002 release.
‘Long Ride Home’ is one of those songs that evokes imagery — you can literally visualize the story unfolding in your mind as you listen. So when it came to the video we were looking for a simple story to complement the lyrics Patty Griffin wrote, something subtle but impactful.
The story in our video (Directed by Jay Arcansalin) is of an older newly widowed person leaving the burial for his long-time love. And on that ride home, he’s reflecting on the relationship. The good times. The bad and sad times. What he should’ve said but didn’t. How he could’ve said things differently.
And you feel his pain in that he’s going home to an empty house where all those memories were made. It’s a really beautiful piece. And our actor, Donald Jackson, did a great job taking you on the roller coaster of emotions with him.
